Long Point Reyes beach where dogs are allowed only in the SOUTHEAST section (from parking lot southeast to the Estero entrance). On-leash, 6-foot max. Harbor seal pupping closures March–June. Snowy plover protections.

Official leash rule

ON-LEASH (6-foot max). Dogs permitted ONLY in the section SOUTHEAST of the parking lot, ending at the entrance to the Estero de Limantour. The northwest portion (toward Drakes Estero) is closed to dogs year-round to protect western snowy plover and harbor seal habitat.

Partially. Dogs are allowed on the southeast section of Limantour Beach from the parking lot toward Coast Camp — approximately 2 miles. Dogs are NOT allowed on Limantour Spit (the northwest section). All dogs must be on a 6-foot leash at all times. Seasonal closures may further restrict access December 15–June 30.
